Hi Frnds, Today here we are providing you my Friend's experience of BOB interview..


M2 - You are from WB, so how come you are in UP?
Me - I told them about my fathers job and his transfer before my birth.

M2 - Why didn't you join sports like your father?
Me - Because I mentioned in the last answer that he was a sports person, so they asked me this.

M3 - What was your previous job?
Me - I was working in BEL on contract basis.

M2 - Why did u left it - even that was a PSU job?
Me - As it was on contract basis, so less salary and no job guarantee.

M1- What was your role in that job?
Me - Project management and execution.

M2 - How many total enrollments done in AADHAR?
Me - They asked this because I was in this project under BEL.

M3- What is disinvestment?
Me - Couldn't clarify completely, so picked up that days news on coal allocation disinvestment by CIL, NTPC, ONGC and the amount of disinvestment, and told them that I couldn't understand the real fact of disinvestment.

M1 - Which company recently bought shares in banks?
Me - Can't recall. They said LIC

L1 - What is retail banking?
Me - Told them

L1 - MSME?
Me - Told them

M1- What is cardless cash transaction system?
Me - Told them about ICICI bank news and also BOI news few months back.

M3- Explain the transaction procedure.
Me- By pin system - 6 digit and 4 digit.

M2 - Name 3 previous presidents of India...not including the current one.
Me - I was so stupid at this time that after naming APJ and Pratibha Patil, I took CV raman instead of Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. They smiled at me. Then they asked me to think again.

All the questions were asked too fast, so I couldn't remember. All what I was thinking that how could I name CV raman here....he he...chillax...if this happens to u.

M3- Why you opted for B.Tech instead of B.Com?
Me- Tried my best to explain.

M2- Why is B.Tech better than other traits?
Me- Started bragging about field trainings and all.

M2- Hows your graduation helpful in banking?
Me- Analytical power and all stupid things, then again started talking about field training and many subjects to mug up.

M2- What is TEV? Something in technology.
Never heard of it. Completely denied for this question.
So go on and take your interview as a party!! so u'll be more confident!!

Ans: Told them about my educational background and also my family background.

2.Why have you left your previous job?
Ans: Told them very frankly that I left my job just to prepare for government bank exams.

3.What was your work profile?
Ans: I was working as senior associate (production) with Tropicana Juice Manufacturing plant. I was responsible for the smooth running of the plant.

4.What do you know about my bank?
Ans: Told them about establishment, CMD, Growth, Branches etc

5.Why in 1969 and 1980 the banks got nationlised?
Ans: To make them stable and profit making.

6.What are the cause and effects of recent change in CRR?
Ans: told them my point of view

7.Why do you want to change your field?
Ans: I want to move to govt sector.. and I have special interest in banking.

8.What is GDP?
Ans: Answered

9.What is the difference between GDP and GNP?
Ans: Answered

10.What is Microfinance?
Ans: Answered

11.What is target of Financial Inclusion?
Ans: 72000 villages should be covered under banking services by March 2012

12.What is the effects when rupee gets strengthened or weakened?
Ans: Told them my point of view

13.What is the meaning of “SUMAN”  and who wrote the poem “PUSHP KI ABHILASHA”?
Ans: Meaning of SUMAN is Flower.. and poem Push Ki Abhilasha was written by Makhan Lal Chaturvedi.

14.Are you aware about the problems when you are posted in north east state and how will you tackle?
Ans: As I  know there are main problems related to food habits and communication problem but I don’t have any specific taste for specific foods and if I know how to communicate in English then obviously I will not have the problems.

15.What qualities should be essential for a PO and do you have it?
Ans: Confidence, communication skill, team working ability, challenge facing ability, positive approach and all I have.

Haar kar bhi haara nahi kyo ki hosala jo abhi baaki he.

Gumnaam hu aaj to kya hua, naam banana abhi baaki he
Akela hu aaj to kya hua, dosto ka saath to abhi baaki he
Safar ki to bas shuruwat he, manzil tak pahuchna abhi baaki he
Naam suraj ka suna he bas, usasa chamakna to abhi baaki he.

Kal kuch na kiya ho to kya hua, aane wala kal to abhi baaki he

Once a person asked Socrates, an ancient Greek philosopher, what is the the secret of Success. Socrates thought for a moment and then told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning.

The met next morning. Socrates told the young man to walk with him inside the river.

When the water got up to their necks, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The man struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and kept him under water until he started turning blue.

The young man struggled hard and finally managed to get up. The first thing he did was to gasp and take a deep breath.


Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when you were under the water?”

The man replied “Air”.

Socrates said: “That’s the most secret to success. When you want success as badly as you want air, you will get it. There is no other secret”.

Moral of the story:

A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishments. Just like a small fire cannot give much heat, a weak desire cannot produce great results.

So friends, exams are approaching fast and you should be devoted to your preparation with complete focus on exams. Success will surely come to you. All the best!

Finally SBI PO exam is over for all the candidates. Given the level of competition, exhaustion, fatigue and tiredness is always a side effect of such a big exam.

Relax and get over with the sleep:

First of all, you have worked hard for last so many months and spent sleepless nights, it is time to relax your body and mind. You should take a break for a day or two and get away to a different environment (you can visit your friends, relatives or simply go out on a trip with friends). 

You need to refresh yourself and get over with the exam fatigue before you start on the next task.

Start preparing for the interview:

If you are confident that you have done fairly well in the exam, you should start working on Group Discussion and Interview Preparation. We have published many articles on Bankers Adda for this, you can refer to Interview Prep section for the same. An early start will give you a big advantage vis-a-vis those who will start the preparation after the written test results are out.

Start Preparing for IBPS PO:

In any case, start preparing for IBPS PO. IBPS has already announced that IBPS PO exam will be in conducted in October (notification should be out by the end of this month), so it is right time to start the preparations. You need to understand that you should not be solely dependent on SBI PO. Reason is simple – there are only 1837 seats in SBI PO. SBI will give interview call to approx three times the number of seats. Also, SBI has very rigorous Group Discussion and Interview Process. So, you never know, where you might lose out in the race.

Remember - It is not over till you win and your fight should continue till get actually join a government job. There is no scope for any stoppages in between.
